Can’t go wrong with Drums, by far one of the best restaurants in the market. Everything is good but the lamprais is a great way to get a bit of everything (and can be made veg or vegan). It’s great value for money and has a nice balance of textures and flavours.
One of the best Sri Lankan restaurant in Melbourne. Absolutely love the flavours. Nice and spicy
You need to try this place, it’s so underrated! Craving for some Sri Lankan cuisine, I had Chicken Kotthu ($17) since the lamb was over. The chef prepared the kotthu on the spot, which was a separate delight to watch. Cool staff and delicious food!
I tried their food for the first time at the Hawker festival at Queen Victoria Market. It was amazing. I had Kotthu and they prepared it in front of me and their rhythm while chopping the roti for Kotthu was amazing to listen to. I have also tried their Street combo dish and I liked that one too.
Ate at Grazeland- my God. Changed my life. How do you make eggs, leeks, rotu and chicken so tasty?! So good, would 200% recommend
Amazing food with such rich flavours!
Authentic, delicate, delicious Sri Lankan. Served by the loveliest, most generous and professional staff. Thank you for your kindness 🙏
Just what I needed for a quick lunch. This Sri Lankan restaurant has a wide selection of ready to serve curries and plenty of combo deals depending on how hungry you are. I had the vegan street combo and was able to get Dahl and vegetarian curry. There was also a vegetarian potato dish. There are sides too including curry puff and papadam.
Absolutely amazing food, fantastic service; very friendly and helpful. I love this place, you just can’t go wrong. Thank you for such delicious food, every time.
Wow. One of the most flavoursome meals we’ve had in Melbourne. We had the Paratha roti meal with goat curry and it was amazing. The staff are very friendly too! Would recommend to anyone.
My go-to when at the Queen Vic market! I love their food, and always get the veggie Lamprais. So so yummm and flavourful!
Headed to the Vic Market today and tried out Drums in the renovated Foodcourt. Ordered the Sri Lankan Breaky – which included eggs (cooked to order) curry, coconut, toast and I added on the deviled chili chicken for a bit extra. Loved it!
My partner ordered from the cafe next door and was jealous when he saw what I had, and ate half of my breakfast. Lol.
Friendly service with a wide range of food from Sri Lankan Breaky, Biryani, curries. Cooked fresh.
The food here was divine. Such a huge variety of cuisine. I had the Traditional combo and enjoyed is thoroughly. The ambience and atmosphere was very simple.
Truly authentic, value for money
Awesome combos well presented
Great Sri Lankan food! Love it!
This place ticks all the boxes, can’t wait for our next visit, felt very well come and the food was excellent.
Charged extra when paying with cash.
I was purchasing the goat curry meal last night and the price was listed as $22. I was told by the middle aged lady that it was $26, but assumed that must be because of the type of meat or because I said yes to having it with bread (little bit misleading but that’s fine). Then I gave $40 cash and was given $9 change, meaning I was charged $31 for the meal… I only noticed the change I receive after leaving the busy stall. Not great!
The food and the service is top notch
Beautiful food and people .
Had lunch here after visiting the market. Friendly service and nowhere in Australia has food as good as here. Tastiest butter chicken ever.
Lovely warm atmosphere, generous servings, and very delicious selections.
Mild or spicy!
Sri Lankan foods available for reasonable price. Foods were delicious. 🤤. Highly recommended for everyone.
Best Kothu- in my last 7 years.
A delight! I traveled to Sri Lanka, it was excellent.
A delight! The best butter chicken of my life, a great discovery! The deviled chicken was delicious too!
Huge portions for the traditional combo.
Super delicious and tasty! It reminded me of my 1 month holiday spent in Sri Lanka eating all the delicious food out there.
The serving plate nearly overflows and the flavor is tremendous
A delicious platter with a great variety of flavours! The curries were rich and delicious (protein was on the dry side) the rice was well spiced and the crispy papadum added a nice crunch. The salad with yoghurt dressing was refreshing and the mango lassi was sweet and satisfying. Generous portions and a great mix of textures—definitely worth trying!
